Museum Of Contemporary Art Wedding – Laura + Sam

The Museum Of Contemporary Art Wedding of Laura and Sam was incredible. Situated on one of the worlds most beautiful harbour’s, it was one rocking Sydney wedding complete with plate smashing and greek dancing!

I always get asked the same select questions at weddings. Things like ~ Is this your full time job? What do you do throughout the week if this is your full time job? The small talk stuff as it’s a select job where a handful of people are lucky enough to work their arse off and sacrifice their weekends to make a full time living from photographing weddings. For me it’s a no brainer. I love what I do and wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

But for me the question that stands out is ‘What is the best wedding you have every been too?’ And my answer is the same each time. There isn’t!

Weddings are about celebrating being able to marry your best friend and the person you love most in this world. Hand’s down, that’s all it comes down to for me.

It’s this ‘love’ that makes the wedding day so special and unique. No two weddings are the same. Everyone is different and chooses to celebrate in different ways and I love being able to share in such an amazing day. I love seeing the relationships between my couples and I love seeing the relationships they share with their family and friends. I’ve been luck enough to witness so many incredible moments at weddings and to me this makes my job pretty bloody awesome! I won’t carry on with how awesome my job! But seriously, its pretty epic!!!

Now I’ve been luck enough to have photographed some of Laura and Sam’s friends weddings over the years, so I knew this wedding was going to be off the hook fun with lots of laughter, joking around and people cutting some serious shapes on the dance floor. One of the highlights was the moment my soon to be brother in law Bazzy smashed a plate in the middle of the dance floor. There was some traditional dancing going on and just as the Zorba song kicked in to a higher tempo ~ BOOM! He let that plate fly smashing down on the floor shattering it everywhere! I could not have timed it any more perfect. Classic!

Okay enough from me. I’ll let you scroll on through this super fun and gorgeous Museum Of Contemporary Art Wedding of Laura and Sam. It’s a long one but well worth it! / Peace Matty
